Théo Jack Scherer (b. 1997, Paris, France) is a visual artist and writer. In 2022, he earned a MFA in photography from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium.

His photographic practice is influenced by an academic background in geography and social sciences. These initial studies triggered his interest for human environments, thus focusing his visual work on contemporary spaces and atmospheres. By surveying cityscapes, meandering within modern settings, in the manner of the flâneur, he seeks to reveal the enigmatic influence of geography on our psychology. He explores different scenes, operating shifts in perspective, and interprets how the built environment provokes ambiance, like scenography enabling performance.

In short, his artistic practice is an exploration of the poetics of space.
